Acne

Acne is most commonly associated with hormonal changes in teenagers, but in fact is equally common in adults too, with over 40% of women suffering from acne in their 40’s. It is caused when follicles become blocked with sebum (an oily substance created by the sebaceous gland) and dead skin cells. This causes a pimple, blackhead, white head or sometimes a cyst to form.

Acne is usually found on the face, shoulders, back, neck, chest and upper arms, and can have a major affect on the sufferer’s confidence and self-esteem. The good news is that acne is actually very treatable, with options available for almost every sufferer.  Recommendations will be made based on your individual condition, its underlying cause and where it is showing on your body. These include body peels, facial peels, HydraFacial and blue light, as well as prescription skincare products, with initial results showing in as little as 7 days
