Body Peels

We recommend body peels for patients who have acne or areas of ageing, uneven, tired, dull or pigmented skin on specific areas of their body. They are ideal for treating skin on the neck, décolletage, back, shoulders and upper arms, as well as for the treatment of acne and keratosis pilaris, a common skin condition characterised by small bumps on the skin.

The peel works by removing the upper layer of dead skin, revealing the fresher, brighter, unblemished skin underneath. This is a very popular treatment due to the excellent results it delivers and the minimal downtime it requires.

We offer a wide range of peels of differing types and strengths and will discuss the perfect peel for you at your consultation. This will be determined by your skin type, skin condition and your desired treatment outcome. All body peels are given by an experienced, qualified practitioner and can be ‘tweaked’ to tailor them precisely to your individual need.

Tailored aftercare products will be massaged into your skin following your peel to enhance your treatment results. Full aftercare advice will be provided.

Frequently Asked Questions

Body peels are suitable for most people. They are not however suitable for anyone with eczema, psoriasis or a medically compromised skin condition. If you have an active skin condition in the area requiring treatment, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, an alternative treatment may be suggested. Your medical history and allergies will be considered prior to your treatment and this will be discussed with you.

While all skin peels carry minor risks (redness/excessive flaking), we successfully treat thousands of patients each year. All our skin peels are delivered to exacting industry safety standards and guidelines and are performed by an experienced and qualified Glasshouse practitioner.

You will feel a tingle or itch to the skin once the peel is applied and this will continue until after the peel has been neutralized. Your practitioner will ensure that you feel completely comfortable throughout your treatment.

Depending on the peel selected, you may experience mild redness and/or some mild skin shedding after your peel. This will usually disappear with 24 hours, leaving your skin looking refreshed and rejuvenated.

Usually none. Your skin may look flushed for 10 minutes after treatment and a light shedding of old skin for 1-2 days may follow. This will depend on the type of peel given.
