However we will always check your medical history prior to treatment and will not proceed with Coolsculpting if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have certain medical conditions or if you are requiring CoolSculpting on the abdomen and are being treated for hernias.

Coolsculpting has an outstanding safety record and is FDA approved for use in over 70 countries worldwide. CoolSculpting systems use controlled cooling devices designed with built-in safety measures. The system shuts down automatically if its sensors detect that the skin is getting too cold.

As the freezing process begins you will feel the cold on your skin but this will not last for long. You may also feel suction on the skin when the Coolsculpting applicator is applied, but this is not painful. You may experience some tingling for a few minutes following treatment.

Following treatment some patients may experience redness, swelling, mild bruising, tingling or tenderness on the treated area. These side effects will usually subside within 12-24 hours and will be covered by your clothes.

Usually no downtime is required and you can return to work or normal day-to-day activities almost immediately. This may vary from patient to patient and according to the body area that has been treated.
